This is a cylinder liner kit with reference 875549, and is used on MD11 and MD17 engines. The cylinder liner kit, often called piston and sleeve kit, is pressed directly into the engine’s cylinder block. 

Someone may notice that most of these engines are really old, and that makes sense. The older the engine is, the more operating hours it has accumulated. Consequently, more parts will need to be replaced. Now, if the engine is relatively old, some of these parts may be hard to find. For this reason, we have assembled some custom-made engine overhaul kits, like the ones for the Volvo Penta MD11, and the Volvo Penta MD17 engines.
