Tighten the cylinder head bolts in two stages of 35 Nm (25 lbf.ft), followed by 70 Nm (50 lbf.ft.).

When should the cylinder head bolts be replaced on Volvo Penta AQD21A, AQD21B, MD21A, and MD21B?
The cylinder head bolts should be replaced when there are signs of elongation, or cannot be specified if it is already elongated, by checking the "waist" of the bolt. In order to replace all the cylinder head bolts, the following references should be ordered: 840758, 818050, 818048. At the moment, they are not available in our store.
