SX9510-40 – Self-Adjusting Trim Tabs
Affordable, self-adjusting trim tabs made from composite plastic for motorboats with a length between 14–17 ft (4.26–5.18 m).
Recommended engine power:
• 50–80 hp (2-stroke)
• 40–60 hp (4-stroke)
The system uses a gas spring with an adjustable load value set during installation. Together with the built-in control valve, it helps control the boat’s trim and reduces the planing threshold by up to 33%. At lower speeds, the tabs increase stern lift to help the boat plane faster.
When the boat reaches planing speed, the tabs automatically move into a horizontal rest position to minimize drag. During normal operation, they act as shock absorbers, improving stability in turns and rough water.
