Recmar® decarbonizing gasket set for Volvo Penta:
- 2001 2001AG 2001B 2001BG
This head gasket kit, also known as decarbonizing gasket kit, includes the head gasket with reference 840569. The cylinder head bolts with reference 970888, should be replaced when needed[1], and tightening should be performed in two stages, using a diagonal pattern. The bolts must be coated with molybdenum disulfide.
Tightening torque settings:
- 20 Nm 14.7 lbf. ft
- 70 Nm 51.6 lbf. ft
[1] The cylinder head bolts should be replaced when there are signs of elongation, or cannot be specified if it is already elongated, by checking the "waist" of the bolt.
